Safari Park

Since our passes are expiring at the end of the month, we wanted to get one last trip to the Safari Park in, so we headed there today. It was definitely crowded since it was Spring Break! As soon as we got inside the part, I went straight over to get our tickets for the butterfly exhibit. Once we had those, our first stop was the Lorakeet Landing to feed the birds. We usually get there too late and the birds are no longer hungry, so we wanted to get there early. Lauren thought it was great. A bird landed on my head and I freaked out! I hate birds.




After we fed the birds, we headed over to a new Nairobi Village area and then on to the petting zoo.












After that, it was our time to head in to the Butterfly Exhibit. It was super crowded, but really cool.

After the butterflies, we headed over to the bird show but it was not open yet, so we grabbed some lunch. Lauren had a complete meltdown in the process because she was starving and wanted her lunch right away and did not want to wait in line for us to order our lunch first. We got her settled in with her lunch and she was fine the rest of the day. After lunch, Bompie took her to the bird show amphitheater.





We headed down to the Safari Tram after but it was so crowded that we said forget it and headed over to the carousel (because really, that was the only reason Bompie came anyways!). They bought the all day pass for Lauren and she rode it for 2 or 3 hours straight!

Every time the bell ran to announce that the carousel was beginning, she would get SOO excited!



She only missed one ride the whole time...to have a snack.

This was the sweetest moment ever between Lauren and Bompie before the carousel started.












Eventully, Lauren had enough of the carousel, so we all headed home. It was a great day and a nice way to end our season passes at the Zoo and Safari Park.
