When Lauren woke up from her nap she came out to join the party and have some watermelon.
She was telling Bompie to hurry up and get her some watermelon!
When she walked on the other side of the island, all we could see were her bunny ears going by.
She loves her Bompie more than words could ever describe.
After a nice lunch of hamburgers, Lauren changed in to her Easter dress (that she picked out at Nordstrom) and headed to the living room to see what the Easter Bunny left her!
Her basket was stuffed to the max again this year. Inside were lots of things for our upcoming vacations. Two new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVDs, Triange Crayons that will not roll away, Post It notes to pull a part and stick on everything on the airplane rides, Purell Wipes, Butt Paste, a Thermos for her meatballs, a little yellow duckie finger puppet and a candy stick, 2 chocolate foil bunnies, one for Mommy, one for Daddy. There was a mini version of her favorite book, Ten Little Ladybugs, trash bags for stinky diapers on the plane and the cruise, dog and cat stickers, a A Fisher Price Magna Doodle Travel Edition and a giant spiral bound book filled with hundreds of pages of blank paper to color on...and then save in the spiral book!
She was so excited to see her basket! And made a "Whoaaaa!" sound when she spotted the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVDs!
She pulled out the two DVDs first and studied them for a LONG time!
She even came over and sat on my lap because she was tired of standing.
We tried to interest her in the rest of the goodies in her basket...
...so she went over to her basket, DVDs in hand and pulled out her favorite book about ladybugs and made me read it to her.
Then she made Bompie read it to her.
Bompie tried to get Lauren to look at more stuff in her basket.
She was excited about the crayons and went over to Grandma to show her.
Grandma then demanded that she get to use her new crayons even though she was supposed to save them for the plane ride.
Pretty soon, she put the crayon in her mouth, and in unison, 7 adults all yelled "no" at her at the same time...
...resulting in her getting her feelings hurt...BADLY!
It was so sad. She cried and cried, with big giant tears, we all felt so bad for her.
Soon Bompie came in to rescue her.
She gasped and sniveled for a long time.
About a half an hour later, she had recovered enough to come and see what Grandma and Bompie bought her for Easter.
A new bat and ball (notice the DVD still in her hand)
and a new purse too!
Auntie got her a monogrammed beanie for our trip to Whistler.
While she further inspected her DVDs, she played with her gift bag with her feet.
...then someone took away her DVD to show her some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse flash cards.
...back to the DVD cases.
My mom took a picture of Lauren and Kendall and then my mom said that Kendall's arms looked buff. Kendall snatched up the camera to see for herself. This is her "I got caught being vein" look!
Lauren and her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse gifts. We were trying to get her to come play with us. She did not like that idea at first.
"Okay, I played with you, now back to my DVDs."
A little while later, she played with Great Grammie.
And then we rushed out of there so Lauren could nap in the car and not ruin her bedtime.
