Happy 2nd Birthday Lauren

Today was Lauren's actual second birthday. Just like I did last year, I made sure to have the camera and video camera ready to capture those first moments on her birthday.


...just one year ago.

Since her family party was postponed indefinitely, we decided to go to the Zoo and visit the animals. We got there at 10:30am and the entire parking lot was almost full. Our first stop the monkeys. Lauren did her "ah-ahs" for us.


Next stop was to see the "ish" and hippos.


And then the orangutangs.


...and some turtles.


...and this time the polar bears were out and about. Every time we have been there, they have been way up on a hill sleeping. This time they were super close and active.



Then we hiked up asteep hill to Elephant Oddysey. This is Lauren making her elephant sound.



We took the Skyfari back to the enterance of the park.

We decided to stop and have Lauren's caricature drawn to commemorate her second birthday at the Zoo.

Before we headed out of the Zoo for lunch at Islands, I asked Justin to take a picture of the birthday girl with her Momma (as she calls me now).
