A Visit to the Fire Station

Charlotte's Mom, Jaime, planned a wonderful visit to the Poway Fire Station. We visited for today's play group and I think all of the kids had a great time. Lauren spent the most time, out of all the kids, observing and really soaking it all up. I love this first picture...the four blondes!

Lauren was very excited, and not shy at all, following the firemen and firelady in to the engine garage to check out a fire truck!

They showed them all of the tools, and they were suprisingly interested.

Lauren liked sitting in the back of the engine and checking out the helmet.

...and then it was her turn to drive it! They even closed the door so she could really pretend she was driving!

...after that, they turned the lights on. Lauren thought that was pretty cool!

We lined all the kids up for a group shot. From the left, Brooks and Lauren were totally chill, and then Charlotte, Cristian and Carla cried.

She tried on some big boots!

...played in an empty locker and checked out the fire pole.

After we were kicked out  err, done with our visit, we all headed to Chipotle to get some yummy lunch. It was a great day, and I did not mind spending my 29th birthday doing something that made Lauren happy. It is amazing how life changes once you have a kid!
