Splish Splash

Robyn and Ivy are in town this weekend, so we arranged to get the girls together for a play date. Originally, we were going to go to a local park and then out to lunch, but at the last minute I decided to just invite everyone over to play and swim instead. It was 100+ degrees outside and Justin had just arrived home the night before, so the last thing I wanted to do was leave the house early in the morning and brave the heat and crowds trying to find a parking spot at the beach side park we planned to meet at.

Once the girls arrived, they headed up stairs to play in the sand box. The Mommies chatted while the girls played.

After they played in the sand for a while, the girlies and their Mommies headed to the pool to splash and cool down. These two best friends had a post swim snack while Ivy continued splashing in the pool.

We headed back to our house and I made pasta for lunch and then it was time to say goodbye to our friends because we had a second pool party to go to in an hour.

Before we said goodbye, we attempted to get a nice group picture. Eventually, we succeeded.

After our friends left, we gathered up our pool things and our dessert to share and headed to the Knox's beautiful home in Stonebridge. They have an AMAZING backyard with a splash pad and pool among other things. Lauren had so so so much fun splishing and splashing. She went swimming too, but the splash pad was definitely her favorite.

Their backyard was huge and also had a cabana area with a restroom.

...and this is what happened at the end of the day when we JUST finished getting all dried off and ready to drive home! The silly girl just could not help herself!
