Playgroups...

Seriously, we belong to the most awesome playgroup in the whole world! Lauren is a bit shy still, but she is slowly warming up to the other kids. The first playgroup we attended on April 28th, Lauren clung to me, she pawed at my shirt, she climbed my legs...she was not having any of it. Now, while she is still hesitant to dive in and play with the other kids, she will sit with them...without me next to her.

The moms are all wonderful and I really look forward to the weekly playgroups and monthly Mom's Night Outs (or as Justin calls it, "Dad's Night In). Here are a few of the highlights from our awesome group!

This group does not mess around. Especially the Hlinkas!

And a fun Mom's Night Out at Maren's House...Sangria, Swimming and Smores was the theme.

Other Mom's Night Outs have included dinners at Carvers Restaurant and Pedicures (I missed that one). Each time, we all have a blast and seem to get along well.

One of the playgroups that I took pictures at was at the Del Sur Pool Playdate that my friend Christina hosted.



After snacks, we got in the pool. It was a little cold, but we still had fun!

Another fun playgroup was one that Christina arranged at a place called Kidding Around. It was with the "Moms for Fletcher" group and Nathan Fletcher (who is running for San Diego mayor) was there and spent lots of time talking with us and playing with Lauren. These pictures are from his website.
