Easter Sunday

Church on Easter Sunday was a total BUST! Lauren was grumpy on Saturday night and did not want to sleep at all. Then, she woke up hours earlier than she usually does. Her screams woke every one in the house up. She fell back asleep on Bompie's Belly and that is where we left her for four hours! Yup...poor Bompie stayed there for four hours so that she could sleep. Bless his heart. We missed church. Maybe next year.

Because of Lauren's crazy schedule, we did not open up her Easter Basket right away. The Easter Bunny came over night, but instead of rushing to do it in the morning, we held out for a better mood later in the afternoon. I did not put her in her adorable Easter Dress from Nordstrom because she was just so grumpy. Instead, she wore her adorable yellow Easter outfit from Auntie Kendie instead.

She went for rides in her MCU (Moblie Command Unit)...

This just cracks me up!

and got some snuggles from Bompie.

We had a lovely dinner of Tri Tip and Baked Potatoes.

While we were finishing up dinner, Lauren had a major blow out and needed to be changed, so I took the opportunity to put her in her adorable Easter Dress to open her Easter Basket and take lots of pictures.

Is this all for me?

Her very own remote control

A dragonfly chewie.

And of coarse a Golden Foil Chocolate Bunny (to share with Daddy).

And a Blue Foil Chocolate Bunny too (to share with Mommy)

And Pat the Bunny Book with Pat the Bunny Plush and an adorable muslin bunny rabbit.

Uh-Oh, the basket has tipped over!

One of Lauren's all time favorite book characters...Duck and Goose by Tad Hills! Also Duck, Duck Goose, How Rocket Learned to Read (also by Tad Hills) and Goodnight Lullaby.

Then we took Lots and Lots and Lots of pictures of Lauren with her Easter Basket.
Hang on!

Then it was time to open all the rest of her Easter presents...
From Bompie and Grandma...

...a talking book...

...a book about teeth brushing and some socks...

and an adorable dress.

From Great Aunt Lori...
an adorable romper.

and three books about Easter. One of which was Peter Rabbit!

After presents, we did a few more pictures.

oh Lauren...you give the funniest looks.

And how did we keep her in that rocking chair? We tied her in!

Happy First Easter Sweet Baby Lauren!
