8 Weeks Old

Lauren you are 8 weeks old today! Time sure is flying by.

• You are a good little eater these days. You can eat 7 or 8oz at your night time feeding.
• You are getting much better at holding your head up. You love to pick your head up off our shoulder and look around.
• You are wearing Size 1 diapers and they fit you really well right now.
• You are wearing mostly 0-3 month clothes. Your cheapie Gerber onesies are a 3-6 month, but you can still fit in to your newborn jammies too.
• You still love your bath time.
• Your cries are getting more distinctive. We can definitely tell when you are hungry. Your cry is deep and throaty, and sounds very angry.
• You love being held to sleep, but we are not going to get too comfortable with this little scenario.
• You are spoiled rotten by our family. Everyone just adores you!
• You have spent 2 weekends away from Mommy and Daddy and have done very well.
• You definitely smile at us now. Not gassy smiles, but I am so happy to see you smiles.
• You can track objects with your eyes and watch people walk in or out of a room.
• You talk to us...and it makes us turn to mush. Guhhh and Hyeeeee are your favorite "words".

At your 2 month appointment, you got your shots. It was so sad. You got 3 of them and your cried and cried. Then you fell asleep. You weighed 13 pounds 6 ounces and were 23.75 inches long. Your head was 39.5cm.
