Going to Oak Glen!
We made a nice pot of coffee and got ready to go to Oak Glen. My parents drove up for the day and met us at the campground. Lauren was so excited to see her Bompie!
We drove in to the town of Oak Glen and were able to find a parking spot (lots actually, because we beat the crowd) and went to get in line to give Apple Annies another try.
Again this year, it was so disappointing. A few of us ordered biscuits and gravy only to find out a bit later that the cook forgot to make biscuits that morning? The service was slow and the food was not good...and neither were the prices.
Next we headed up to the little village behind Apple Annies.

The next stop was Riley's Apple Farm.
Look familiar? It is amazing to me to see how much she has grown in a year!

Reminds me of another time...
Our next stop was Riley's at Los Rios Rancho. Last year we took a long walk trough the orchards there. This year, we drove. There was a HUGE line to get in the parking lot, so my dad went in the exit and found a parking spot right away. Our first stop was the the pumpkins. Lauren LOVES pumpkins! See...tons of pictures with the pumpkins.

Next, we went to the general store to buy some treats. We picked up a gallon of cider, a caramel apple and a Christmas Ornament for Lauren's tree. Lauren had a sip of the cider. And she LOVED it. Really though, maybe an ounce? It was not much.
She liked it so much she wanted a second sip.
And a third sip...then it was all gone!
After her cider sampling, she grabbed Bompie and Grandma's hands and walked them back to the pumpkin patch to play some more. She led them along the path, through the crowds, right back to the patch. She was a girl on a mission and remembered how to get back. Smart girl!

Soon it was time to head to the next farm. Lauren rode on Daddy's shoulders. Look! No hands!
We stopped at Laws Cider Mill and bought some apples and 2 more gallons of cider. Lauren wanted a bite of Grandma's apple, and quickly it turned in to Lauren's apple.
Still eating her apple! We wanted to check out Parrish Pioneer Ranch. They have a restaurant there called Apple Dumplin's with an "apple breakfast buffet". We checked it out, and we definitely want to go there next year.
She wanted out of her stroller to walk around...
...and then she spotted a pile of pumpkins!
She came back to get some snacks.
And give Grandma a hug and a kiss.
We tried to get a nice picture of Lauren with her "gurr-ma" but she was too busy watching the other kids play.
This one cracks me up! I was about to capture this really sweet moment, when all of a sudden, my mom flips Lauren up for a diaper sniff. I about died laughing! And the look on Lauren's face is priceless.

After visiting Parrish, we headed back to our campsite for a much needed nap. We said goodbye to Grandma and Bompie and then headed to bed. We all took a nice long nap and when we woke up, it was time to start dinner.
