Today you are fifteen days old. First thing this morning, Daddy made an appointment to get you in to the doctor's office. Your doctor, Dr. Shalauta was out on vacation, so you saw Dr. Coyle. We had to take you in because your "pop eye" eye was all swollen again and had green gunk coming out of it. It was even stuck shut this morning when you woke up.
You were a good girl at the doctor's office. You gained some weight and now weigh 9 pounds 4 ounces. Dr. Coyle wrote you a prescription for Romycin. It is an eye ointment that we have to put on your eye three times a day. It is for what we think is a blocked tear duct that got infected.
We had to kill an hour after your appointment, waiting for your prescription to be filled, so Mommy and Daddy headed to Islands Burgers for a burger and fries lunch. You were so good and snoozed the entire time.
After lunch, we went to Rite Aid and Daddy went in and got your medicine while you and I waited in the car. By the evening, you were very grumpy and cried a lot. This seems to be a new trend with you. You act like you want to eat, but you cannot be THAT hungry.
Either way, we love you very much, goopy eye, stinkie poops and loud wails at all hours of the night and day! (But I am not so sure our neighbors appreciate your strong set of lungs at 3am).
